Location: Flexible within the UK (with regular travel)

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits

With decades of experience and a strong market presence, they serve a diverse portfolio of clients across FMCG, industrial, and retail sectors. As the business continues to expand and evolve, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead the UK based commercial team.


The Role

As Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading a high-performing sales team, and developing long-term relationships with key accounts. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy and ensuring the business meets its ambitious growth targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers across the UK.
  • Develop and execute a robust national sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and high-value deals.
  • Oversee customer retention and satisfaction for large accounts, ensuring consistent service excellence.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, operations) to ensure alignment and delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic plans to senior leadership.

 



Requirements

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within manufacturing, ideally in plastics, packaging, or related sectors.
  • Strong track record of team leadership, business development, and key account management.
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
