My client, a global leader in live entertainment is seeking an inspiring Venue Director to lead one of its flagship venues - a cornerstone of the local community. You will have the strategic acumen, commercial mindset, and passion to elevate the venue's reputation and shape its next phase of growth.ResponsibilitiesOwn the venue's overall performance, balancing priorities across customers, team, shareholders, reputation, and growthMake smart, strategic use of resources to hit short-, mid-, and long-term goalsDrive new revenue streams - from sponsorship to local programming - that align with business goalsBe a people first leaderGrow venue EBITDA by setting and tracking clear team goalsCollaborate with the Programming Director on an exciting, commercially strong events calendar, with a focus on music programming - and take charge of local bookings and relationshipsQualificationsStrong management experience - ideally as a Head of Department or similar senior roleProven ability to inspire, organise, and motivate large, diverse teamsCreative, goal-orientated, and customer-focused, delivering top-quality service in busy settingsConfident leading change, engaging teams, and driving key priorities forwardSkilled at building and maintaining great relationships across all levels, inside and outside the businessPractical problem-solver with a smart, ideas-led approach and solid budget management skillsTech-savvy with the confidence to learn new systems quicklyA genuine interest in the live entertainment industry is required!Please note, this role is based in the North East of England area.To discuss this opportunity in more detail, please hot apply or send me a messageHandle actively welcomes applicants from under-represented backgrounds - we pride ourselves on attracting the best talent for every opportunity through a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
