We are seeking an experienced Freelance Account Director to join our dynamic team and drive world-class communications for our global healthcare clients. You’ll be entrusted with building and maintaining strong client relationships, leading teams to deliver high-quality work, and helping to shape and execute client strategy. Your expertise will help identify opportunities for both organic and new client growth.

About The Role

As a Freelance Account Director, you will support Directors to advance major global healthcare accounts, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional client service that drives satisfaction and retention. You will lead teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to client strategy and business development.

What You’ll Do

  • Client Leadership: Act as the day-to-day lead across a portfolio of healthcare accounts, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional client service.
  • Strategic & Creative Counsel: Provide actionable strategic insights and creative media solutions; build relationships with key opinion leaders, media, and industry influencers.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee client budgets, billing, and account administration, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Business Growth: Identify and support new business opportunities through networking, lead generation, and participation in proposals and pitches.
  • Integrated Campaigns: Collaborate with media and digital specialists to develop and activate integrated campaigns with measurable results.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and motivate junior team members to foster a productive and inclusive environment.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice initiatives across the network.

About You

  • Proactive and strategic communicator with proven experience in healthcare and pharma communications, ideally within an agency setting.
  • Experience in oncology is an advantage.
  • Strong at building client relationships, delivering creative and effective solutions, and leading teams to success.
  • Thrives in a flexible freelance environment and is ready to make an immediate impact.
  • Experience developing internal communications campaigns is a must.
