We are seeking an experienced Account Director / Senior Account Director to join our client services team within a small, fast-growing, creative brand and marketing agency. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing high-value client accounts, delivering through-the-line campaigns and initiatives, and guiding brand and strategic projects from conception to execution.

You will be responsible for leading client relationships, driving growth, and ensuring excellence across all aspects of project delivery. Supported by a Senior Account Manager, you will combine commercial acumen with creative insight to deliver work that makes a measurable impact for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership & Relationship Management
  • Act as the senior day-to-day contact for key client accounts, building trusted and long-lasting partnerships.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of clients’ businesses, industries, and strategic objectives.
  • Actively identify opportunities to add value and grow accounts through proactive recommendations and initiatives.
  • Strategic Direction & Brand Expertise
  • Lead and facilitate brand strategy and marketing planning conversations with clients. Supported by brand and strategy team.
  • Translate complex client challenges into clear, actionable briefs for creative and strategic teams.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of through-the-line campaigns and initiatives ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Project & Team Management
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of multi-channel projects, ensuring they are on time, on brief, and on budget.
  • Work closely with your SAM to delegate, mentor, and develop team members while maintaining oversight of quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, and production teams to deliver outstanding client work.
  • Take responsibility for account profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Negotiate fees and contracts where appropriate.
  • Ensure all projects are managed with strong commercial awareness and resource efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as an Account Director / Senior Account Director in a brand or marketing agency environment.
  • Strong track record in brand strategy, strategic projects, and integrated through-the-line delivery.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills; personable, approachable, and trusted by clients.
  • Excellent strategic thinker with the ability to lead conversations at senior client levels.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple workstreams.
  • Commercially minded with experience in financial management of accounts.
  • Skilled leader and mentor with experience in supporting and developing team members (e.g., Senior Account Manager).
  • Confident communicator and presenter, able to inspire clients and internal teams alike.

What We Offer

  • Salary £65,000 - £90,000 depending on level and experience
