The Role:
The Account Director will take ownership of a high-value portfolio of strategic client relationships, ensuring long-term success, satisfaction, and measurable business outcomes. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll drive retention, growth, and engagement, while leading and mentoring a talented account management team. This commercially focused role combines leadership, client strategy, and operational excellence.
This role offers Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days a week in the Exeter Office.
Responsibilities for the Account Director include:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value client accounts, ensuring strong relationships and measurable results
- Identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and revenue growth while ensuring customer engagement and retention
- Lead, mentor, and develop the account management team to deliver consistent service excellence
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape client strategy, product adoption, and service delivery improvements
Role Requirements for the Account Director:
- Significant experience in senior account management or client services, in a B2B or SaaS environment
- Proven track record of managing and growing strategic customer accounts with strong commercial acumen
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching or line-managing account managers.
- Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to think strategically
- Commercially minded with a strong grasp of forecasting, planning, and CRM systems
- Industry experience in telematics and technology sectors (desirable)
- Competitive salary of £55,000 – £60,000 DOE
- Hybrid working with a state-of-the-art Exeter office
