We’re looking for a London-based Account Director with a background in brand experience or a similar agency environment, who can bring fresh perspective and leadership qualities to enhance our talented team working efficiently across multiple projects. This is a senior role within the business.


Strategy

·     Work closely with the Client Services Director to understand the vision and direction of the business and support through client relationships and delivery goals

·     Attend business strategy meetings

·     Manage recruitment for new roles across the business relating to Account Development


Client Leadership

·     Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior clients. Act as the main point of escalation and strategic counsel

·     Understand client business objectives, challenges, and opportunities, and proactively add value

·     Act as a source of comprehensive knowledge and understanding about your client organisations and their associated market sectors and industries for the delivery of strategic communications counsel

·     Proactively cascade this knowledge upwards and downwards within your team as appropriate

·     An awareness of the wider social, political, and economic landscape and its implications for each client

·     Have in-depth knowledge of our company to enable you to confidently present our offering and strategy to colleagues and clients 


Account Management 

·     Account planning – identify key accounts for growth presenting account growth plans with key actions, deliverables, milestones and targets 

·     Oversee resourcing, scheduling, and financial forecasting for your accounts

·     Champion best practices in client service and project management

·     Account management – manage key accounts through regular check ins, proactive ideation and liaise closely with project management team on key areas for improvement

·     Presentations – confident in leading on presentations to new and existing clients including authoring and prepping the presentations beforehand

·     Communication – able to communicate effectively across the board from the team to clients to senior management

·     Relationships – able to cultivate positive relationships across the team, and clients to ensure productive ways of working and positive working environments and client relationship growth, retention, and development across the board

·     Pro-active – able to come armed with solutions and suggestions and lead the way when it comes to pro-actively solving problems, outlining tasks and delegating

·     Accountability – able to navigate difficult conversations with ease and strategically brainstorm solutions alongside the MD


Financial Acumen and New Business

·     Own financial performance of your accounts: budgeting, profitability, and forecasting

·     Provide strategic input on campaigns and experiences to ensure they deliver measurable impact

·     Stay ahead of industry trends in brand experience, digital, and live activations

·     Analytical approach to finance understanding and tracking GP, setting account targets and tracking and monitoring those targets through clear documentation and communication

·     Cultivate and seek out new accounts and new relationships to create new business opportunities

·     Work with the Client Services Director to create a target list for new accounts and setting, running and managing new account meetings

·     Actively seek, develop and implement new business from existing clients through innovation, proactivity and excellence in delivery

·     Provide regular, active support for Client Services Director, in new business pitches, tenders and credentials that contribute to the achievement of the agency new business target

·     Ensure all accounts are maintained within budget and time constraints and be proactive in resolving any problems with your Client Services Director

·     Demonstrate your financial acumen by flagging to your manager where you think accounts are being over or under-serviced

·     Suggest financial ways of working to better facilitate accounts ie retainers, MSA and SOW processes, rate cards


Team Development & Communication

·     Passion and talent for leading and mentoring a team including educating and coaching on the principles of Account Management to the Project Team

·     Coordinate Internal training and learning presentations associated to account management

·     Proactive support on team recruitment alongside Client Services Director as team grows

·     Ensure internal processes reflect agency culture and values and are appropriately executed by all project managers

·     Confident in presenting to large groups


Marketing and Media

·     Contribute to marketing through your own LinkedIn and social media posts to drive shares and comments about Seen Presents and solidify us as a voice of authority within the industry


Key Skills

·     Strong track record of managing large-scale campaigns and/or live experiences end-to-end

·     Commercially savvy with confidence in managing budgets, forecasting, and driving profitability

·     Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

·     Demonstrated ability to build senior client relationships and deliver growth

·     Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing multiple projects

·     Demonstrates excellent communication skills when liaising with clients and internally; has the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in person, over the phone and via email, demonstrating diplomacy and good negotiation skills

·     Experience in line managing and mentoring a team

·   Passionate, self-motivated with the ability to show initiative, willing to immerse themselves in the brands they work with

·     Energetic, self-motivated, consistently proactive and showing initiative; able to manage their own time well

·     Mac literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

·     A consistently calm and patient approach, able to remain organised and positive when dealing with multiple requests

·     Exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously


Experience required:

  • Experience with a similar role in an agency with proven experience of growing and managing client accounts £1 million and up
  • Experience as an Account Director within events delivering projects up to value of £5 million
  • Experience as a leader within a business - proven track record of managing up and down
  • Proven client management, account reports creation & management and account growth


This is an office-based role that will require you to spend time in meetings and briefings, as well as staying in close contact with clients. It can be demanding, but very rewarding! Working hours will be standard office times; however, deadlines and installations may stretch this further.
