Handle Recruitment are representing a global entertainment and sports agency seeking an Account Director specialising in basketball partnerships. Salary: £60,000-£65,000 (dependent on experience). Location: Hammersmith - 3 days in office.

The Role

They are looking for a talented Account Director to join their Brand Consulting team and manage a key client's international partnership portfolio. This role is ideal for a senior marketing professional experienced in developing and activating 360° sponsorship campaigns across digital, experiential, content, and communications. Working alongside a Vice President, you will advise the client on maximising rights and assets to deliver real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the client alongside the VP.
  • Develop strategies that maximise partnership rights and align with brand objectives.
  • Lead day-to-day account operations, including team management, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, rights holders, and suppliers.
  • Support campaign creative, positioning, and channel strategies based on audience insights.
  • Manage activations from ideation to execution across digital, experiential, and content channels.
  • Oversee events, talent appearances, and VIP experiences.
  • Track KPIs and campaign effectiveness to demonstrate ROI.
  • Keep up with trends in sport, technology, and Web3.
  • Support networking and business development as needed.

Requirements

  • Significant agency or in-house experience at a client/campaign lead level.
  • Background in basketball partnerships is essential.
  • Proven expertise in campaign strategy, communications, asset development, and event management.
  • Strong experience in digital and social media marketing, including global campaigns.
  • Experience working with international markets preferred.
  • Excellent client servicing, account handling, and project management skills.
  • People management experience leading multiple team members.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Creative, independent, and collaborative with innovative thinking.
  • Confident in presentations and communications with strong attention to detail.
