Position: Account Director
Location: Bournemouth
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (with flexi-time and hybrid working options)
Salary: Subject to experience + OTE

Due to growth in the existing customer base and some exciting new client wins, Appius are on the hunt for an Account Director to join their Digital Results Team. This role would be best suited to an existing Account Director or Senior Account Manager looking to take the next step. The team is based in Bournemouth town centre with a hybrid in-office/remote working model.

Working directly for the Digital Results Director and supported by a team of Account Managers, you will manage a diverse portfolio of accounts across finance & insurance, travel & leisure, professional services, and charity & not-for-profit. Appius works with brands that demand more than brochureware, and we are seeking an AD with a strategic mind to lead digital transformation programs.

We are looking for a curious, consultative individual who enjoys solving brand challenges and ensuring our solutions deliver value and results.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in digital, preferably within an agency environment
  • Broad knowledge of Experience Platforms, UX & Design processes and Digital Marketing techniques
  • Confident communicator and presenter, able to inspire internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in managing and inputting into tender and pitch processes
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills; able to discuss commercials and close opportunities
  • Ability to create engaging sales and presentation materials in Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service skills with proven success in retaining and growing customers through proactive management
  • Ability to spot new requirements and turn them into business cases and briefs for the team

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with account managers to develop business across a portfolio of clients. Own the digital roadmap, annual budgeting & forecasting, and sales pipeline
  • Develop close relationships with senior leadership on key accounts; understand objectives and deliver digital strategy and consultancy
  • Deliver regular digital strategy reviews, monitor competitors and best practices, and propose proactive ideas
  • Support the new business sales process from lead qualification through to close
  • Support generation of new leads through networking, content marketing, events, and referrals
  • Document and communicate customer success stories with case studies and results reporting
  • Build strong relationships with technology partners
  • Grow existing relationships by introducing new offerings and building business cases
