Actuarial General Insurance Director role at Grant Thornton UK. We are part of a global network of independent audit, tax and advisory firms. Our Actuarial & Risk team provides market leading advice to clients in the financial services sector and beyond, specializing in developing bespoke, robust and pragmatic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Primary focus on working on Capital Modelling and Model Validation assignments for Lloyd’s and non-Lloyd’s entities.
• Lead in the day-to-day management of projects and delivery of client work. Engage with key stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met, risks are managed, and the quality of work is of the highest standard.
• Take responsibility for developing more junior members of the team, supporting their career aspirations and delivery.
• Support business development by building strong internal and external networks to foster new clients and opportunities. Be a key member of the team in taking our capital modelling and model validation services to market.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in actuarial roles within the general insurance sector with deep experience in capital.
• Experience in Part VII transfers
• Experience in Lloyd’s Statements of Actuarial Opinion
• Experience in the Solvency II (or Solvency UK) Standard Formula
• Proven experience with business development activities, driving growth
