Job Purpose

To support Partners and Directors in developing the Advisory and Valuations service lines within Forvis Mazars through high-quality client service across energy & infrastructure sectors, including acquisitions, valuations, sales, fundraisings, bid advisory, and debt raisings.

The ideal candidate will:

• Lead advisory and valuation assignments with proactive project management and sector guidance, splitting time approximately 50:50 between advisory and valuations, flexible based on client needs.
• Build strong client relationships, understanding their business and assets.
• Possess excellent PowerPoint, report writing, and Excel skills, with intellectual curiosity.
• Interpret and run financial models with 3-way financial statements.
• Be committed to business development and project execution.
• Have significant experience in the energy and infrastructure sector.

The role level (Associate Director or Manager) depends on experience, with AD level involving more autonomy, business development, and leadership.

Professional Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Manage advisory engagements: prepare transaction documents, lead assignments, build client relationships, and ensure quality and financial controls.
• Manage valuation engagements: develop project plans, analyze data, review market evidence, ensure accurate financial modeling, and review reports. Develop client relationships and mentor junior staff.

People & Product Development

• Enhance deliverables, processes, and team knowledge; mentor juniors; ensure clear, effective outputs; build market relationships; promote team learning; potential line management responsibilities.

Business Development & Team Engagement

• Develop sector intelligence, lead proposals, build client networks, support marketing, and promote sector knowledge internally and externally.

Key Requirements

• Several years (6+ for Manager, 8+ for AD) of deal advisory and valuation experience in energy & infrastructure.
• Strong track record in M&A or financing transactions within the sector.
• Understanding of industry trends, key players, and project management skills.
• Proven financial modeling skills and client relationship building.
• Ability to interpret results, analyze issues, and demonstrate commercial acumen.
• Proactive team player with leadership skills for managing juniors (for Manager level).
• Knowledge of engagement and risk processes; finance qualifications (ACA, CFA) desirable.
• Fluency in English; second EU language desirable.
• Self-motivated, ambitious, with excellent communication skills.
