Good remuneration basis and the opportunity to grow with the company.Purpose of the roleAs Assistant Director of Finance, you will be ensuring financial stability through effective controls, adherence to relevant compliance and regulation, and the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations. Leading, developing and motivating the team of finance professionals at various stages of their careers, and being a figurehead for financial excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading an efficient and customer-focused transaction service covering the financial operations of the Group, including sales ledger, credit control, purchase ledger and banking but not limited toEnsuring technical strength and rigour throughout the team. Lead the month-end and year-end close functions, including rents and service charges, fixed assets, work in progress and general accounting processesBuilding, maintaining and documenting a strong and operationally suitable set of financial controls and instil a culture of compliance and control within the team and across the group developing and maintaining Financial Regulations appropriate to the structural composition of the organisationEnsuring the timely and accurate planning for, and preparation of, the Group\'s annual financial statements and those of subsidiariesLeading the relationship and processes of the internal systems and external auditors for the Group and, where necessary internal auditor, with a focus on quality, and assurance, whilst maintaining external relationshipsBuilding a culture of continual improvement within the Finance team, measuring and monitoring performance and taking responsibility for the overall quality of output of the teamTaking part in leadership activities across MCR Group and advocating excellence within Finance and across the organisationSupport the Leadership Team with financial information and reportingImprove manual areas/maintain efficient systemsRequirementsQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA etc)Real Estate / Construction experience or a strong ability to adapt to a complex and regulated sector at a paceExcellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written including attention to detailExcellent time management and organisational skillsPlease note we do not offer hybrid/remote working options, this role is office based/on site depending on your role.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinance #J-18808-Ljbffr
