Due to increased demand, we are recruiting to support the AMP8 water industry capital investment programme. If you have relevant water industry design experience, we can tailor your experience to your career ambitions. If you're from a different engineering sector, we offer mentoring and training to transition into the water sector.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of project delivery, including health & safety, technical quality, schedule, and budget.
Manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Shape service delivery and identify opportunities for additional services within WSP UK and internationally.
Build client relationships to ensure project outcomes and satisfaction.
Contribute to innovative approaches, new services, and digital products.
Support our Future Ready and Net Zero initiatives.
Act as an ambassador for best practices within the Asset Design team and client initiatives.
Prepare bids, develop resources, and manage budgets.
Line manage and mentor graduate engineers and apprentices.
Participate in recruitment and team growth.
Continue developing your technical, managerial, and leadership skills.
What We Will Be Looking For
A degree in Civil Engineering.
Chartered status or significant progress toward ICE or CIWEM membership.
Experience managing civil engineering design teams.
Proven project delivery within budgets and schedules.
Experience in linear civil infrastructure or industrial/process design roles.
Mentoring or coaching experience with junior staff.
Client-facing experience.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
