Marks Consulting Partners are working with a respected, mid-sized property and construction consultancy to appoint an Associate Director of Building Surveying.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute and hands-on leader to join a growing team delivering high-quality consultancy services across commercial, mixed-use, and select residential sectors.
You’ll be a visible, trusted advisor—balancing technical excellence with people leadership and client management.
What the job will be doing
• Lead and deliver building surveying instructions across commercial offices, retail, industrial, and residential assets. • Oversee and mentor a small team of surveyors, supporting their development and performance. • Manage key client relationships and drive best practice in all project delivery. • Oversee professional services including dilapidations, technical due diligence, defect analysis, and contract administration. • Contribute to business growth through networking, client development, and strategic input. • Ensure work is delivered efficiently, maintaining the consultancy’s strong reputation for quality and service.
What you will need
• Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with solid post-qualification experience, ideally already operating at senior or associate level. • Proven experience delivering across commercial and residential sectors. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the confidence to influence clients and guide teams. • Commercial awareness and the ability to win and grow business. • Collaborative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for professional excellence.
The Offer
