We are expanding in the UK market and are looking for an Associate Director of Building Surveying to consolidate and grow our Building Surveying offering in Yorkshire and the North. The role works closely with the Head of Building Surveying and other office Directors to deliver the business plan and sustain growth across our markets.You will need experience of leading consultancy teams on behalf of clients and should possess demonstrable skills in: managing and delivering consultancy services within the Building Surveying market; engaging and developing existing and new clients to grow the business in the region; key client account management for high-profile projects; and the ability to lead and develop a team across multiple sites and teams.Your responsibilitiesBe a focal point for part of the well-established building surveying team.Contribute to strategic plans for the business and help develop future opportunities.Maintain service quality standards and a culture of continuous improvement and constructive expertise.Take responsibility for key projects and the account management and customer care for major clients.Lead new business proposals and tendering, liaising with the marketing team to ensure high-quality marketing materials.Collaborate with other service streams, sectors and the wider AtkinsRéalis business to provide innovative solutions and improve competitive advantage.Ensure the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients, act as primary interface to build client confidence, and participate in relevant training initiatives.Play an instrumental role in generating repeat business, winning new work and developing opportunities; manage workload and keep abreast of industry developments.Manage and supervise teams to maintain a motivated, engaged and high-performing function.Manage other individuals including performance and development reviews (PDRs) and mentoring/coaching; provide guidance and technical expertise to team members.Demonstrate first-class communication, commercial awareness and a strong commitment to client service; work collaboratively within a vibrant team.What you can bringTo hold a relevant construction qualification and be a professional member of a recognised professional institution (e.g., MRICS/FRICS). A track record of generating and developing opportunities and winning new work.Ability to manage a project lifecycle and experience of both project delivery and survey programme completion.A highly motivated, proactive approach to work matters.Detailed knowledge of the Building Surveying and Consultancy Services market.Experience in successful project delivery from inception to handover and in developing a team.Experience of client management and development, with ability to engage at senior levels.Willingness to attend sector events locally and nationally to promote the AtkinsRéalis business.Driving licence and mobility as required; involved in commercial management and profitability monitoring; ability to produce scope, fee and contractual proposals.Why work for AtkinsRéalis?Looking for a place to engineer a better future?
