Overview

Associate Director - Claims Management role at WTW. Description: Senior Claims Advocate with at least five years of experience in Construction, Energy, and/or Property & Casualty, with experience managing large losses on CAR/EAR, DSU and TPL claims. A legal background would be helpful. Deliver high quality Claims Service to our client Bechtel, ensuring key client outcomes are delivered to pre-defined service standards.

Responsibilities

• Personally accountable for Key Client Outcome (KCO) 5, comprising: claims paid as contract within a reasonable time; prompt resolution of market-related loss issues and queries; ensure broking is prioritized and completed within targets; monitor and address financial aspects (including Uncorrelated Cash and Bureau debt) to avoid issues;
• Build constructive relationships and lead correspondence with Client and associated underwriters, third parties and service providers, under guidance of more senior Claims Advocates, with reference to the Client Service Proposition;
• Negotiate appropriate claims authorities and claims funds with insurers/reinsurers; notify insurers/reinsurers on receipt of claim advice and respond where required;
• Negotiate settlements with insurers/reinsurers to minimise client loss, leading on contentious claims with regard to consequential loss;
• In high-profile claims, coordinate with Group colleagues and maintain internal/external communications with proper records;
• Travel as required (catastrophe losses or claims reviews);
• Support Sales team by producing accurate renewal information in conjunction with Claims Handlers;
• Identify and capitalize on account penetration and cross-selling opportunities within the client/prospect base;
• Provide input on corrective action to enhance process performance across Claims areas;
• Ensure adherence to standardised Group policies and procedures, including WEM and regulatory requirements;
• Monitor underwriter/reinsurer and service provider performance and take action as needed to protect the client’s best interests; provide input to Willis Quality Index as required.

Other duties

• Provide input to more senior Claims Advocate on BU approach to Client Service Proposition by client stream;
• Support more senior Claims Advocate with appraisals and reviews as required;
• Oversee provision of accurate management information as required;
• Support management and the Company in managing business risks as set out in the BU risk register;
• Participate in loss prevention and claims seminars as required.

• External: Underwriters / Claims Managers; Client (Accounting, Risk Management); Loss Adjusters / Service Providers.

Qualifications

• Preferably with relevant professional qualification e.g. ACII/FCII/CILA
• Legal background would be helpful
