Consulting Technology supports food manufacturers and retailers with product innovation, including rheology, new product development, value optimisation, instructional development, pilot plant, quality and food safety manufacturing, thermal processing, new technologies, and regulatory affairs.

This role involves working with technical experts across Product Innovation, Process Innovation, Training, Sensory & Consumer Science, Global Food Safety & Regulatory to ensure an excellent consulting service to clients, adding value to the food and drink supply chain.

Responsibilities include delivering a great client experience, retaining clients by growing relationships, and supporting their aims. This includes collaborating with analysis and testing to build a cohesive client proposition, leading change to improve client service, and working with sales to build a pipeline of profitable work.

Requirements

  • Experience and passion for client centricity
  • Technical and consulting experience within the food and drink supply chain
  • Degree in relevant science or technology-based subject (Chemical Engineering, Food Science/Technology or similar)
  • Direct leadership experience within a food and drink company
  • Successfully owned a P&L
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering within a consultancy environment
  • Deep understanding of client issues across the food and drink supply chain
  • Specialism in at least one area of product safety/quality, innovation/reformulation, regulatory or thermal / non-thermal processing
  • Engaging people leader with the ability to align and engage teams
  • Deep financial understanding, particularly investment-based business cases
  • Wider business leadership, particularly leadership team experience
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and create tactical plans

Our site is located in Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire, with an expectation of being onsite 3 days per week, when not travelling to meet clients.
