We are seeking an Associate Director to join a leading consulting firm’s Deal Execution team, part of a growing Strategy Group that delivers investor-grade value across the deal lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-profile M&A engagements covering mergers, acquisitions, divestments, exits, and joint ventures — both pre- and post-deal.

This role is suited to experienced consultants with a proven background in integration and separation projects, strong leadership capability, and the ability to advise C-level stakeholders on critical deal execution challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end deal execution engagements at pace, delivering high-quality outputs to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage projects across multiple workstreams including separation planning, integration design, synergy assessments, and joint venture structuring.
  • Develop and review engagement strategy, budgets, and delivery plans in collaboration with Directors/Partners.
  • Oversee preparation of deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness ahead of senior review.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing trusted advisory and managing expectations.
  • Ensure commercially focused, value-adding outcomes while effectively mitigating risks.
  • Support business development activities including pitches, proposals, and market initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor engagement team members, modelling strong leadership behaviours.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive consulting experience within a Big 4, strategy house, or corporate strategy/development team.
  • Proven track record of leading complex integration, separation, or transaction-related projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate value drivers and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, with experience engaging at C-suite level.
  • Excellent problem-solving, structured thinking, and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong financial and strategic understanding, with the ability to translate insights into practical solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation.
  • Degree-level education with a strong academic track record.

Why Join?

This is a career-defining opportunity to work on high-impact M&A projects within a fast-growing strategy and deal advisory practice. You will collaborate with senior executives, deliver market-leading solutions, and play a key role in shaping the growth of the practice.

If you are a dynamic leader with a passion for deal execution and the capability to make a tangible impact, we’d love to hear from you.
