About the Company: Investec is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director to join our Private Capital team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the delivery and management of deal execution, developing and managing deal teams to meet client needs efficiently and effectively across multiple transactions. You will also play a key role in growing our client base and supporting the strategic growth of the Private Capital franchise. The Private Capital team provides flexible capital solutions to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals (HNW), and private equity owners. Our transactions are event-driven and include growth capital, acquisition finance, management buyouts, leveraged finance, recapitalisations, structured corporate lending, and NAV/Balance Sheet lending. With a proactive and solutions-driven approach, we customise debt solutions that align with our clients' needs.

About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and management of deal execution, developing and managing deal teams to meet client needs efficiently and effectively across multiple transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deal Execution: Lead the structuring and execution of transactions, ensuring excellence in credit analysis, due diligence, financial modelling, and negotiation of legal documentation.
  • Origination: Actively originate transactions both internally and externally, with clearly defined targets.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee prudent post-deal portfolio management in collaboration with the team's Portfolio Manager.
  • Internal Effectiveness: Ensure compliance with Investec's credit authorisation processes and maintain a risk-conscious environment.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop deal teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture that promotes personal development and maximises performance.

Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of the UK private company marketplace and the deal process. Proven experience in corporate finance, including financial modelling and structuring of financing solutions. Strong understanding of Investec's product offerings and regulatory requirements. Advanced IT literacy, particularly in Excel modelling.
