OverviewOur client is a leading consultancy specialising in fire safety engineering across the built environment. They are looking for an experienced Associate Director to lead project delivery, manage key client relationships, and help shape the future of the company.Location: Hybrid / Birmingham, with occasional travel into LondonResponsibilitiesLead fire engineering projects from concept through to completion.Develop and review fire strategies for complex and high‑profile buildings.Act as primary point of contact for clients and design teams.Manage and mentor junior engineers and consultants.Contribute to business development and tendering.Support the technical direction and commercial performance of the team.Ensure compliance with current UK fire safety regulations, including BS 9999, BS 9991, and ADB.ExperienceAt least 8 years’ experience in Fire Engineering.Holds Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseDegree-qualified in Fire Engineering or a related field.Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward it.At least 8 years of experience in fire engineering consultancy.In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and fire codes.Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.Experience working on large and complex developments.Passion for mentoring and developing teams.Rewards and BenefitsCompetitive salary and bonus structure.Flexible hybrid working options.25 days annual leave, plus your birthday off and Christmas shutdown for 2–4 days.Private healthcare and generous holiday allowance.Ongoing CPD, training, and chartership support.A supportive, collaborative, and growing team.Opportunity to make a real impact in a leadership position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
