Location: London

Working Type: Hybrid

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Bonus points: Revit/Rhino know-how would be a huge asset

We’re partnering with a globally acclaimed design studio to find a stand-out Associate Director (Interior Design – Creative) to join their London team.

This is a pivotal role, perfect for a design leader who’s passionate about pushing creative boundaries while keeping the wheels turning on large, complex projects. You’ll be steering the creative vision, shaping the design direction across teams, and ensuring every project lands with impact, integrity, and polish.

You’ll thrive in a hands-on leadership role—motivating teams, mentoring juniors, and keeping clients engaged and inspired—while playing a key role in both day-to-day studio life and long-term business growth.

What You’ll Bring

  • A strong creative vision and an impressive portfolio of high-quality, large-scale interior design projects
  • Confidence in presenting to clients and nurturing relationships—you’re just as strong in a pitch as you are in a brainstorm
  • A commercial head on creative shoulders: adept at resourcing, scheduling, and keeping budgets on track
  • Natural leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Proficiency in design software (Revit and/or Rhino experience would be a real advantage)
  • A degree in interior design or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Your Core Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Design Leadership

  • Lead concept development and bring bold, original design ideas to life
  • Oversee creative quality across multiple projects, championing excellence
  • Present strong, narrative-led design work to clients and stakeholders

Project Ownership

  • Take charge of project delivery from concept through to completion
  • Manage timelines, teams, and third-party collaborators
  • Remain the senior point of contact across project touchpoints

Team Culture & People Management

  • Build and maintain a collaborative, supportive studio culture
  • Mentor and develop junior talent, providing clear feedback and career guidance
  • Lead performance reviews and foster progression

Client Engagement & Business Growth

  • Cultivate existing client relationships and help identify new opportunities
  • Contribute to proposals, bid writing, and fee negotiations
  • Represent the studio at events and in the wider industry

Commercial Oversight

  • Maintain visibility of budgets, resourcing, and profitability
  • Ensure all projects meet financial targets while upholding design integrity

If you’re a visionary design leader ready to shape award-winning interiors and guide a brilliant team, we’d love to hear from you.
