A highly respected national property consultancy is seeking a chartered Associate Director to join its dynamic Planning team. With offices across the UK and a strong client reputation, this firm offers you the opportunity to lead, develop, and grow your own client base while contributing to a growing and collaborative team.

The Role

You’ll work alongside an established team including a Planning Director, two Associate Directors, and Planning admin support. The current portfolio is predominantly rural and commercially led, but the team is keen to expand into more urban-led projects—and that’s where your vision and connections come in.

This role offers significant autonomy and flexibility. You’ll be encouraged to back yourself from day one and help shape the future of the Planning offer by identifying and securing new opportunities across your chosen geography.

✅ What You’ll Need

• MRTPI Chartered status (essential)
• Proven private sector experience—ideally within consultancy
• A confident ability to build and win work, nurturing long-term client relationships
• While you're not expected to bring a full client portfolio with you, you must be confident in your ability to generate new business from day one
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage complex planning applications

Location & Flexibility

You can choose to be based in London, Manchester, or Birmingham. Remote working is supported, with the expectation that you’ll join the Planning team in person at least once every couple of weeks to collaborate and share knowledge.
