A little about your roleAs part of WSP's Rail Station team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and prestigious projects in the world. WSP is currently involved in numerous Network Rail, HS2, and Transport for London projects which will reshape the landscape of the rail industry and leave a legacy for the century to come. The MEP team is part of a multi-disciplinary rail consultancy, a tight-knit group delivering some of the largest and most complex buildings in the world.The Stations team within WSP's Rail business is actively seeking an Associate Director MEP (Rail) to lead teams delivering Rail MEP Building Services for major railway projects. The role includes all aspects of technical delivery from concept to RIBA 4 / GRIP 5 stages, client engagement and internal multi-disciplinary coordination. The team offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate to enhance their career and deliver some of the most prestigious Rail Projects in the UK and overseas. Responsibilities
Leading Rail stations M&E design team. Liaising with the Client / Contractors on M&E design. Becoming the focal point between the Client Team and the WSP Design team. Working closely with the M&E Design team to resolve design issues. Leading and developing a team of M&E engineers. Applying knowledge of Rail stations Mechanical, Electrical and Public health systems; added advantage of Telecoms and Fire systems. Working knowledge of Building Regulations, Part L and other MEP sustainable and Net Zero design requirements. Supporting WSP's and client net zero carbon commitments through highly sustainable, low-carbon design. Sharing knowledge and technical skills within the wider WSP network and delivering high-quality construction engineering solutions. Interpreting client specifications and various standards in design development. Maintaining contractual and commercial awareness of Employer's Instructions, Early Warnings and other contractual communications.

Join a team of professionally qualified, diverse, talented individuals who collaborate to undertake project work across the design lifecycle. Deliver projects for Network Rail, HS2, TfL, Transport for The North, TfGM, Nexus, Local Authorities, Principal Contractors, and Private Developers.
Reporting to the MEP Service Lead of our stations team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and challenging multi-disciplinary Rail stations projects around the world. Experience of leading an MEP building services design team in the Rail environment during Design and Construction stages. Qualifications meeting the requirements for Chartership with a UK Engineering Institution. Understanding of: requirements of HS2, Network Rail and/or London Underground standards M&E Building services design requirements in Rail or a similar regulated environment Working with M&E Clients / Contractors during Initial Design, Detailed Design and preferably construction stage
