The transportation infrastructure sector in Scotland is experiencing unprecedented levels of investment and AtkinsRéalis is delivering projects to upgrade transport networks, including active travel initiatives, rail upgrades and public transport corridor enhancements. We are also supporting clients' digital transformation and developing initiatives to help them meet Net Zero commitments.
AtkinsRéalis is expanding in Scotland and providing support to our clients via the Excel framework and other routes to market. We have growth plans to expand our Movement & Place team in Edinburgh and are seeking a talented, experienced person to help deliver projects across the transport planning discipline for our expanding client base. The role will also involve supporting our wider AtkinsRéalis business across Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.
Your purpose
- We are looking for an experienced individual who wishes to manage our high performing, dynamic team that works seamlessly with our wider national Movement & Place business but also helps grow our business in the Scottish markets.
- Collaborating with specialists from across our business as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll work on flagship regeneration, development and infrastructure projects.
- We’re a successful team with a well-balanced blend of skills to meet client needs and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to add further value to our market offer.
What you can bring
- The successful candidate for this role will lead and shape the Movement & Place team and be responsible for securing and delivering work from local clients, building upon their own networks and knowledge base.
- Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate capability in some of the following fields:
- Development of transport strategies and plans (local and strategic).
- Scheme appraisal and business case preparation.
- Transport scheme development.
- People movement and accessibility.
- Feasibility and corridor studies.
- Development Planning.
- Multi-modal transport strategies.
