OverviewAssociate Director of Elective Improvement – Interim (6 months) role at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. Lead improvements to the speed with which patients can access elective and diagnostic care.ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Director of Elective Improvement will be an expert resource for the Trust and provide both a Trust-wide and Integrated Care System-wide perspective when planning elective recovery actions.The post holder will monitor and deliver elective recovery performance across all divisions and specialties against national and local targets.Work with service leads to improve performance and ensure the performance framework is adhered to across all services; be fully conversant with trust information systems to extract and manipulate data for accountability of performance.Drive the Trust’s approach to reducing the time it takes to treat people awaiting elective care and diagnostic tests.Act as a key member of relevant governance groups (e.g., Performance Manager Committee, Elective Oversight Group) as appropriate.QualificationsMaster\'s degree in healthcare/ management or demonstrable ability to work at Masters levelEvidence of continuous professional developmentProject Management qualification or equivalent trainingGood knowledge of NHS England Operational Planning Guidance and RTT pathway managementSignificant recent senior NHS management experience delivering elective care waiting time standards (cancer/ RTT/ diagnostics)Proven track record managing NHS teams and services at a senior level, preferably within an Acute TrustExperience leading multi-professional teams, service developments and major project teamsProven track record of project management and implementation of successful service changesStrong financial aptitude with a demonstrable track record of budget management and developing business casesAbility to identify risk and healthcare governance; experience of effective partnership working across ICSExperience with budgeting, financial processes and developing patient care pathways #J-18808-Ljbffr
