OverviewThe University of Southampton is seeking to appoint a fixed term maternity leave cover for 12 months with possible extension for the role of Associate Director of Infrastructure.The University is a leading research-intensive institution, a founding member of the Russell Group, and a top 100 global university. The Estates & Facilities Team ensures a built and physical environment that supports a world‑class University across a diverse portfolio of campuses and facilities. The Estates masterplan includes an ambitious programme with £1bn of investment over the next decade to deliver a sustainable, inclusive estate.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of subject matter experts across electrical, mechanical, safety and infrastructure engineering to provide technical leadership to operational maintenance and project teams within Estates & Facilities.Act as the intelligent client representative across estate development, owning the infrastructure masterplan and overseeing significant capital investment to achieve Net Zero.Prioritise effectively, deliver exceptional customer service, and operate within budget.Demonstrate outstanding stakeholder engagement and team leadership, with a results-focused, customer-centric approach.QualificationsExperience managing a complex portfolio within a Russell Group university or similar environment.Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and customer service skills.Ability to prioritise and manage multiple priorities within budgetary constraints.Equality, Diversity and InclusionThe University of Southampton is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
