The role:
Responsibilities
Oversight of regular reporting: the team reviews and approves monthly/quarterly NAVs, prices, distribution calculations and other financial information prepared by outsourced service providers; prepares/reviews performance reporting files; reports to the CSSF and INREV; the Manager oversees these processes and reviews complex transactions within the fund’s reporting.
Review of annual financial statements for the funds and all fund subsidiaries and manage the annual audit process; conduct a final review of all financial statements prior to presentation to the boards.
Manage setup cost budgets and TER analysis.
Supplier management: manage relationships with accounting service providers, ensure clear instructions, respond to accounting queries, monitor outputs, and ensure the fund receives appropriate service.
Day-to-day liaison with service providers; Manager responsible for issue resolution and attendance at relationship meetings.
Budgeting & forecasting: coordinate and review budgets from outsourced providers and consolidate into a fund budget; prepare fund-level variance analysis; prepare a weekly cash flow forecast; ensure adequate preparation and review procedures exist.
Board and investor reporting: review and present papers for Board and Audit Committee meetings; attend Board meetings (Luxembourg) and subsidiaries across Europe; review quarterly investor reports; attend bi-annual Investor Day; respond to investor queries and diligence questions.
Transactions & corporate finance: coordinate and review financial due diligence for asset acquisitions/disposals; contribute to drafting SPAs; review legal agreements to ensure accounting treatment; support onboarding of new acquisitions; assist in finalising operating model; support internal financing arrangements and tax considerations; advise on accounting treatment across PFF transactions.
Compliance: oversee fiscal and loan compliance processes; maintain management information reporting and risk registers; document procedures; escalate and resolve issues; promote knowledge sharing and best practices; lead projects on behalf of PFF.
Ad-hoc accounting / financial support: act as main business contact for the Funds; provide advice on ad-hoc projects (e.g., changes to fund terms, investor requests, expansion into new jurisdictions, new fund launches, regulatory changes, industry guidance, service provider reviews, system implementations).
Fund & PFF Strategy: attend meetings to understand fund strategy; participate in committees; assist with fund modelling and provide strategic input; monitor property NOI and cash management; support fund operating guides and serve as SME on UK/European fund structures, finance, and accounting processes.
General: provide cover to other Managers and the Director; assist with ad-hoc projects; ensure accounting procedures are documented; attend weekly fund meetings; review rent arrears; may lead PFF-wide processes.
Knowledge And Experience
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS; able to independently resolve complex issues with limited oversight.
Experience in financial statutory accounting for property funds and related funds; broad knowledge of operating models and processes; ability to apply risk-based judgment.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with senior stakeholders; effective external networking to deliver solutions.
Experience managing varied senior stakeholder relationships with limited oversight.
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to question and interpret financial data; collaborative teamwork and strong presentation skills.
Advanced Excel (desirable); knowledge of Yardi Voyager is beneficial; ability to present to investors; experience in cash and debt management and European Real Estate Funds.
Qualifications
Degree or AAT qualified. ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified accountant (or equivalent).
