Accountable for ensuring that projects and tenders within portfolios are effectively planned, scheduled and monitored. Leads the deployment and implementation of the business’ planning & project controls procedures across portfolio. Responsible for the planning on larger or more complex projects, minor business units or parts of larger business units.Safety First - Going Home Safe And WellYou will be a leading advocate of Mace's value of Safety First, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards.You will possess expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.You will champion a diverse and inclusive working environment, and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.Client Focus - Deliver On Our PromiseYou will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.You will be responsible for the long-term success of Planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, and the overall contribution to the broader company goals.You will be responsible for ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.Advises on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.Manages planning/scheduling delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.Oversees planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls methodologiesInfluences complex requirements and communicates analysis and corrective measures effectively.Ability to communicate effectively with client/s, project team and stakeholders.Creates plans and analyses trends using numerical and statistical techniques.Supports senior management in negotiations, contract development, due diligence & other business development.Leads the planning team and provides leadership and direction through managers/team.Inspires and empower individuals within their portfolio to deliver high quality standards and outputs.Undertakes tasks required to full fill the requirements of the project/assignment.Provides performance management, technical & career development and coaching.Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.QualificationsYou’ll Need To HaveExpert knowledge of schedule management tools & software.Mastery in setting up effective planning/schedule management systems & procedures.Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.Multi Industry Construction Experience.Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with client/s and other project stakeholders (internal and external).Manage and resolve any actual or potential conflicts with the Client or project stakeholders.Building and leading a high performing team/s.Looking to future to create a vision and set strategy.Spotting, developing and coaching talented individuals.Promotes the business and winning work.Persuading and influencing colleagues.Degree (or equivalent) with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the Construction, Programme, Project or Commercial Management disciplines.You’ll Also HaveExcellent attention to detail & able to validate & check schedule management inputs, recording & reports produced, providing commentary & analysis.Large Scale, High Value Projects.Develops internal connections.Identifying and analysing business risks.Working towards chartered/registered member of a relevant institution accreditation from recognised industry body (e.g APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA).Relevant CSCS Card.Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
