OverviewAssociate Director (Procurement) - Renewable Energy Capital Programmes & Projects. This role supports delivery of major capital programmes and projects for green technologies to provide more sustainable energy sources for customers and the community at large.ResponsibilitiesTo lead procurement engagements across multiple programmes, projects, and commissions, helping clients progress towards better green, sustainable outcomes across numerous renewable energy asset types.To deliver and continually improve clients’ performance and meet targets across key capital procurement themes.Drive the development of the renewable energy procurement services provided by Turner & Townsend (T&T).Lead and drive business development for renewable energy procurement and the marketing requirements of the wider Contract Services capability.Provide hands-on leadership and drive delivery of both team and wider business targets in T&T, encompassing Business Generation, Service Excellence, Operational and People-based growth objectives.Be a business leader, coach and developer of talent and an exemplar of Turner & Townsend’s leadership behaviours.QualificationsPreferably has a degree related to Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or similar disciplines.Has achieved, is working towards or is willing to work towards at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.Security Clearance (SC) – currently valid or could be reinstated, not essential.ExperienceWider procurement consulting experience gained from either client, contractor, or professional services organisation.Experience of key responsible sourcing areas including human rights, environment, health and safety, anti-bribery & corruption, and labour practices.Good understanding of UK and international energy sector, related technologies and regulatory environments is desirable.Experience of successful supplier engagement.Skills & BehavioursEnd-to-end procurement, supply chain management and contract management knowledge with embedding excellence in practices.Major capital programmes and projects procurement strategy and implementation through the entire procurement lifecycle.Contract management; supplier evaluation strategies; supply chain intelligence.Strong communication, report writing, and client-facing capabilities; ability to lead and collaborate with stakeholders.Strong IT skills and interest in tools, systems, and data; driven to achieve results; ability to work autonomously and within a team.The Offer & BenefitsTurner & Townsend offers professional development, mentoring, and targeted procurement training; hybrid working to support work-life balance; opportunities for MCIPS status and travel opportunities for key commissions.Additional InformationTurner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer and supports an inclusive environment.
