Job Description:
The hiring company is one of the largest and most reputable consultancies in the UK. One of the key selling points of this role is that you would be delivering end-to-end procurement services to some of the larger brands and on the most exciting programmes and projects.
You will deliver services to public and private sector clients with a focus on central and local government, defence, infrastructure, power, and utilities.
The Associate Procurement Director will lead a highly skilled team of strategic procurement professionals.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients.
- Lead and manage end-to-end procurement services on major projects or programmes.
- Lead and support the development of procurement services.
- Lead and develop a team to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
- Manage client relationships and related outputs and deliverables.
- Lead and support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s service proposition.
- Lead bid preparation and proposal documentation, supporting the work-winning capability of the division.
- Support the delivery of team and wider business targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in regulated procurement, particularly Public Contract Regulations 2015, with awareness of potential changes.
- Experience leading major procurement projects for Public and Private sector clients.
- Strong background in tender preparation, development, management, and negotiation.
- Experience in client relationship and people management.
- Knowledge of various contract forms, focusing on NEC and JCT.
- Cross-sector experience, especially in public procurement, defence, utilities, infrastructure, mining, oil & gas sectors.
- Security Clearance is a plus.
- Ability to develop strategies and documentation compliant with Public Sector Regulations or similar.
- Leadership skills to manage and supervise delivery teams.
- Ability to build strong client relationships and proactively resolve issues.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- A degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement preferred.
- MCIPS accreditation achieved or in progress/willing to pursue MCIPS.
