We transform together, delivering outcomes that improve people’s lives.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Associate Director level, Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to undertake a lead role on a high-profile, London-based Infrastructure project.Main Purpose Of RoleThe Associate Director performs the role of the Commission Manager, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.To act as the key, day-to-day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.Commission Management, To IncludeConducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reportsApplying Value Management techniques at the outset of a projectManaging estimating and cost planning activitiesManaging the procurement processEnsuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectivelyEnsuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectivelyEnsuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the clientValue engineering and life cycle costingEnsuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreedTaking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stagesWhere appropriate, leading a cost management teamTaking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clientsIdentifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunitiesWorking with Directors to construct bids for new workIdentifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates and productsStaff management (where appropriate)Knowledge managementQualificationsProven Cost / Quantity Surveying/ Commercial Management experiencePreferably MRICSNEC3 contracts (in particular Option C – Target Cost)Post contract administrationExperience of working on Major Programmes and ProjectsExperience of working in the Infrastructure (Rail, air/aviation, Water/Utilities, highways)Experience in leading and managing teamsWe are an equal opportunity employer and celebrate diversity.
