The role focuses on supporting clients with large, complex portfolios by providing an accurate, effective and timely rating appeal service.The role will involve working closely with colleagues in Birmingham and the wider department (and other business lines) throughout the UK to deliver our business plan(s) and to support the company’s ambition for growth. A key focus is to build on our excellent reputation and increase our market share in strategically identified and specialist sectors.The successful candidate will have responsibility for some client relationships, which includes working with other stakeholders outside of BNP Paribas Real Estate.ResponsibilitiesDeliver substantial fee income commensurate with role – equivalent to a minimum of 3x basic salary per annumProvision of sound and profitable advice and transactions to clientsUndertake a role in the promotion and development of the Rating offering within the wider BNP Paribas businessActively manage client base to deliver financial goalsProvide accurate management information to the Head of Rating and Senior Director(s) as requiredContribute directly towards improving the Rating team’s profitabilityContribute to Surveyor and Graduate developmentActively manage client base to deliver financial goalsMaintain and build client relationshipsActively sell our Rating capability to clientsBe effective in winning new businessDevelop relationships and grow business from existing and new clientsDevelop a solid track record of repeat instructionsIdentify cross selling opportunities and execute themMonitor the pipeline of current and prospective assignments in Rating and actionMonitor service to clients via regular reviews and promptly rectify any shortfall in qualityWhere required assist in our Key Account Management programme to ensure we understand client Rating needsDevelop a strong network of relationships and proactively sell services across the GroupWork with colleagues outside of Rating in the achievement of our company vision and objectivesManage fee negotiations, billing and actively manage debtorsBill regularly and collect fees as quickly as possibleAccurately fore cast fees when required to do so by the Head of Rating and Senior DirectorsAssist the Senior team in the development of initiatives to improve profitabilityPerson specificationQualificationsEducated to degree levelMRICSExperienceDemonstrable record of delivery in the UK Real Estate market with a strong Rating backgroundand track record in the market placePrevious experience and evidence of enhancing performance through growth and profitabilityDeveloping market profile as a new business generatorWe are proud to offer award-winning benefits to support and reward our employees:Health & Leisure: Private medical cover, 27 days annual leave + public holidays (the option of purchasing up to 5 additional days via flex benefits), health screening, gym discounts, wellbeing support, volunteering opportunities, cycle to work scheme, eye care voucher, travel & retail discounts, travel insurance, concierge service, kids pass, open fairways golf card, great company culture and social events (including sports teams, charity events, art pass), perks at workFinancial: Pension, company car allowance, life assurance at 8 x basic salary, group income protection (long term disability insurance), interest free season ticket loan, bonus scheme -
