Brief Description
The Associate Director (AD) of Real-World Evidence (RWE) will provide scientific, strategic, and tactical support on RWE studies and analyses using administrative claims data and EMR, reporting to the Head of RWE. The AD will lead RWE projects, oversee tactical planning and execution, and ensure scientifically valid research is delivered on time.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Support the development of RWE strategies for one or multiple molecules in collaboration with internal partners.
- Lead the design and execution of RWE research projects, including protocol development and contributions to statistical analysis plans.
- Drive RWE innovations and communicate effectively with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and scientific communities; aim to publish results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Provide RWE leadership across internal cross-functional teams, leveraging strategic planning and communication skills.
- Support the Evidence & Value Generation (EVG) department in operational processes related to daily RWE activities.
- Assess real-world data assets, establish data curation plans, and collaborate on data licensing and platform provisioning.
- Stay current with research on RWE methodology and its applications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Familiarity with US and global healthcare delivery systems, payers, and reimbursement models.
- Experience in designing, collecting, and analyzing RWD/RWE using claims data, EMRs, and patient charts.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with big data platforms.
- Peer-reviewed publications demonstrating RWE expertise.
- Strategic and innovative thinking for product differentiation.
Required/Preferred Education And Licenses
- PhD in epidemiology or related field with 5+ years of research experience, or MS with 8+ years of research experience.
- At least 2 years of analytic experience with healthcare claims databases or EMRs within biopharma or payer/provider organizations.

For US-based candidates only: The full base pay range is $164,000 - $246,000, dependent on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include bonuses, equity, and comprehensive health and retirement plans.
