Job Description
This is an outstanding opportunity if you’re a Regulatory Affairs professional driven by strategy, leadership, and global impact. We’re looking for someone to lead in shaping the regulatory direction for a major player in the food and agriculture space across the EMEA region.
This role is a central part of the business, responsible for a broad ingredient portfolio that includes Edible and Speciality Oils, Flours and grains, and Lecithin. The business is large-scale and well-established globally, and this position has real influence.
As the Associate Director – Regulatory Scientific Affairs, you’ll work with senior stakeholders to lead all things regulatory across the region. A big part of this role will be translating complex legislation – including food and feed law, contaminants, chemical regulations, and food contact materials – into clear guidance for commercial, quality, and technical teams.
You’ll also be involved in business strategy, supporting projects, recall responses, and advising on everything from product labelling and SDSs to ingredient approvals and innovation.
You’ll manage regulatory databases and work closely with other global RSA teams to ensure regional alignment.
We're open to candidates from food, feed, chemical or B2B food backgrounds – but you must be able to do the following:
Engage confidently with both technical and non-technical teams, provide expert advice, and take a proactive role in identifying upcoming regulatory changes. You’ll also represent the company externally, liaising with key industry bodies such as FEDIOL and FoodDrinkEurope.
This role requires someone with a strategic mindset, who understands the value of cross-functional partnerships, and who can balance detail with big-picture thinking. Experience in the vegetable oil sector is highly desirable, and strong communication skills are essential.
The role is based in London or remote within Europe. It offers a salary of £90,000–£100,000, a bonus of up to 20%, and a strong benefits package.
