OverviewAssociate Director SCADA – Rail at WSP in the UK & Ireland. This role focuses on designing SCADA and control system technology for rail infrastructure (above and below ground) through all design stages from feasibility to detailed design and handback. You will work as part of multi‑discipline design teams, manage interfaces with the wider project team, and present designs to clients, stakeholders and project teams. The role may be based in any of our UK offices and will involve domestic and international projects.ResponsibilitiesDesign of SCADA and control system technology for rail infrastructure (above and below ground) through all design stages from feasibility to detailed design and handbackWorking as part of multi-discipline design teams, managing the interface of the SCADA and control system design with the wider project team and communicating the system requirements that have an effect on the wider designPresenting designs to clients, stakeholders and project teams, illustrating system technology concepts, constraints, and solutionsYour teamUndertake project work from across the design lifecycle, including early concept stage through detail designDeliver domestic projects for Network Rail, HS2, Transport for The North, TfGM, Nexus, Local Authorities, Principal Contractors and Private DevelopersProduce designs for international projects across the globe in locations such as Europe, APAC, Middle East and South AmericaReporting to the Service Line Director, you will have the opportunity to work and lead on some of the most exciting and challenging multidisciplinary rail infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally. This is a fantastic opportunity to join WSP as part of an expanding team delivering a variety of prestigious projects. The role could be based in any of our UK offices.What we'd like you to demonstrateChartership status with a UK Engineering InstitutionDetailed knowledge of the design and integration of one or more of the following systems/subsystems:Traction power SCADA systemsIndustrial control systemsIntegrated Station / Building Management Systems (ISMS, IBMS)IP networking, routing, switching, virtualization, storageTrackside SCADA equipment and infrastructureExperience of working on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, primarily in the transport, energy, industrial processing and building sectors.
