Updated: YesterdayLocation: London, ENG, United KingdomJob ID:11923The Strategic Insights team enhances the way in which Syneos Health shows up in front of commercial customers by providing insights derived from research, data analysis, and internal collaboration. The role will work daily on strategy development for new business opportunities, including market landscape analysis, team sizing and targeting, and customer-facing pitch delivery in Europe. The role will also work closely with many groups and individuals across the enterprise and provides broad exposure to the strategic and operational opportunities facing the leading pharmaceutical companies and Syneos Health.This is both a strategic and analytical role that reports to the Sr. Director, Strategic Operations InsightsEssential Functions:As a key foundation for the Commercial Organization, you will:Collaborate with Business Development and Commercial Leadership executives to develop proposals and pitch decks for client presentations, including delivery of analytic / strategic elements in pitch meetingsPartner extensively with operational business partners and subject matter experts to combine perspectives and reach alignment across BD, Operations, and Finance on executable strategiesUse primary and secondary market research data, business insights, competitive intelligence tools, information gathered from Syneos Health subject matter experts, and previous enterprise experience to develop value-creating solutions designed to address client needsLeverage insights to make actionable recommendations tied to Syneos Health Commercial offerings, identifying the ‘so what’ and ‘now what’Provide ongoing consultative support to the Commercial Business Development team by analytically enabling efforts to identify opportunities and build partnerships with key client organizations that drive revenue growth for Syneos HealthDevelop succinct cogent overviews of therapeutic areas, product promotional strategies, and pharmaceutical company challenges/opportunitiesFacilitate knowledge sharing and integration across Commercial, including providing navigation to information and sources of expertiseRespond to ad hoc information/analytic requests from the Commercial communityWork on a nimble, entrepreneurial team, within a matrixed organizationRequired Qualifications:Professional business experience required in one of the following: solutions-oriented secondary research, analytics, consulting, or business development within the pharmaceutical/biotech industryKnowledge of and/or experience with general prescribing patterns, patient pathways, and access considerations in multiple European commercial pharma marketsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) required, preferably in Business, Marketing or Life Sciences. Master's or other advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPH, PhD, etc.)Analytical, solutions development, and structured problem-solving experience, preferably within the context of internal or external consulting/advisory supportExcellent critical-thinking skills and ability to deconstruct complex problems that fall outside of standard operating proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with basic statistical modelling conceptsStrong verbal and written communications skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to support multiple competing prioritiesIntuitive and self-directed with the ability to work independently, as well as with groupsKnowledge of common pharmaceutical data sets including sales, Rx, etc.Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, discretion, and ethicsPreferred Qualifications:Consultative/client services experience strongly preferredExperience with creating content for external customer-facing deliveryAn entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to innovate and create, and comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentAt Syneos Health, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
