Associate Director, Strategic Intelligence - Europe

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and independently manage strategic intelligence investigations across the Europe region.
  • Define project scope, structure lines of inquiry, and assess commercial, regulatory, and political risks.
  • Identify and engage human sources using internal networks and original outreach strategies.
  • Oversee open-source research and manage analysts conducting in-depth investigative tasks.
  • Evaluate the credibility and relevance of human source intelligence.
  • Deliver detailed verbal briefings to high-level clients, including private equity and multinational corporations.
  • Prepare clearly structured, narrative-driven written deliverables with actionable insights.
  • Benchmark risks and opportunities within industry sectors or geographical regions.
  • Cultivate relationships with prospective human sources across various sectors and countries.
  • Contribute to the development of the team’s broader source development strategy.
  • Manage client meetings under high-pressure scenarios with deal, legal, and executive teams.
  • Maintain high standards in communication, analysis, and client relationship management.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years leading consulting or intelligence projects.
  • Previous experience in strategic intelligence, political risk, regulatory consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, especially for corporate audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, managing high-level deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred: Fluency in an additional European language such as French or Italian.
