The opportunity
KPMG's Strategy & Performance Transformation practice seeks exceptional Associate Directors with Energy Transition experience in Deal, Strategy, or Commercial roles. Our team delivers value by challenging conventional thinking, leveraging industry insights, and executing with rigor. We collaborate across KPMG's capabilities within our Deal Advisory business.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the team, increasing sector presence.
- Identify new opportunities and contribute to winning work.
- Build relationships with key clients and advisors.
- Advise on high-profile projects like net zero strategies, decarbonisation, and low carbon technology assessments.
- Apply structured strategic problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Manage project delivery, delegate tasks, plan, and oversee budgets and risks.
- Own proposals for new energy sector business opportunities.
- Mentor junior staff and maintain technical sector knowledge.

Your Experience
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Significant deal, commercial, or strategy experience in energy.
- Strong knowledge of corporate strategy, investments, and transactions.
- Understanding of emerging net zero technologies and their business impact.
- Knowledge of new value propositions like EVs, hydrogen, CCUS, renewables.
- Understanding of energy policy and analytical skills.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience managing project teams and mentoring.
- Comfort in external stakeholder engagement.
