Join Close Brothers Property Finance Team where you will be responsible for actively supporting the Property Finance division to originate, structure, negotiate and execute complex property finance transactions, including directly promoting the business with existing and future clients to secure new opportunities for the Build to Rent and Student Accommodation sectors. The role will also involve supporting the Structured Finance Leadership Team to build processes and systems and assist on strategic projects as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the origination, structuring, and execution of property finance transactions, including Built to Rent and Student Development finance.
  • Conduct financial analysis, stress testing, and scenario modelling for new and existing transactions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships with key property developers, investors, and intermediaries, identifying new opportunities that comply with relevant credit policies.
  • Assist in assessing and mitigating risks associated with property finance transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Contribute to discussions within the Structured Finance team, influencing business direction and policy development.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong industry focus and understanding of property finance or real estate investment and development.
  • Strong understanding of property development finance, investment finance and complex lending structured.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, credit analysis and risk assessment.
  • Ability to produce credit applications and general correspondence of a consistent high quality.
  • Good understanding of credit risk and concepts.
  • Experience in negotiating loan documentation and security structures.
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills.
  • Passionate about driving and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics and economic trends affecting property finance.

Preferred Qualities

  • Network within the property sector.
  • Proven track record of managing clients and their expectations with proven risk management skills.
  • Experience in UK residential development finance and in particular, BTR and PBSA.
