Associate Director – Structured Products Group (Fixed Income)

A unique opportunity has arisen for a high-performing, strategically minded Associate Director to join the EMEA Structured Products Group (SPG) of a large investment bank. This role sits at the heart of one of the most dynamic and intellectually challenging areas of the financial markets — supporting the senior leadership of a globally recognised Fixed Income business.

Working directly with the EMEA COO and SPG Lending management, you’ll help drive high-impact initiatives across business strategy, planning, and operational excellence. This role offers unparalleled exposure to senior stakeholders, cross-functional collaboration with global teams, and visibility into decision-making at the highest levels.

Ideal for an ambitious, analytically strong professional with a passion for the intersection of capital markets, strategy, and business execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the COO and senior SPG Lending management to drive strategic initiatives and implement key business priorities.
  • Support annual and mid-term business planning and performance analysis across EMEA.
  • Develop and present insightful reporting and analysis to inform leadership decisions on growth, capital usage, returns, and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven management tools, including web-based reporting dashboards.
  • Facilitate seamless coordination between trading desks, finance, technology, operations, and compliance.
  • Play an active role in supporting transaction-level analysis, including capital and return reviews.
  • Prepare and present materials for executive-level meetings and global COO discussions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Detailed knowledge of Fixed Income products.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, investment banking, strategy consulting, or capital markets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with advanced Excel capabilities (modelling, data manipulation, scenario analysis).
  • A structured thinker with excellent attention to detail and an ability to distill complexity into clear insights.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — confident engaging with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter mentality with a proactive, commercial mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Passionate about capital markets, structured lending, and improving business performance.

Why Apply

  • Strategic Impact: Work at the heart of decision-making within a leading Fixed Income platform.
  • High Visibility: Direct exposure to senior management across EMEA and global teams.
  • Broad Scope: Blend of strategy, finance, operations, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Career Development: An exceptional platform for future leadership roles across COO, strategy, or front-office functions.
  • Global Connectivity: Be part of a forward-thinking team that bridges global best practices and regional execution.
