We’re partnering with a leading professional services firm to appoint an Associate Director to their growing Corporate Tax Advisory team. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to work as a trusted advisor to a broad client base, supporting complex tax matters and strategic planning. You\'ll work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to the continued growth of the practice, and play a key role in mentoring and developing talent within the team.

About You

• Professionally qualified (e.g. ACA, CTA, ATT, ACCA or international equivalent) or possess significant relevant experience
• Strong expertise in UK corporation tax with a broad awareness of other UK taxes
• Significant experience in tax advisory, ideally with a focus on M&A transactions and cross-border structuring
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including tax due diligence for acquisitions and disposals
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships, with excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead, inspire, and mentor junior team members, supporting career development and service excellence
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and practical solutions
• Confident in managing multiple priorities and performing effectively under pressure

About Your New Role

Always

• Acting as the primary contact for a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering tailored tax advisory services
• Advising on tax risks, compliance obligations, transaction structuring, and strategic planning opportunities
• Collaborating with in-house and external specialists (e.g. Financial Due Diligence, wider tax teams) to deliver seamless solutions
• Translating complex technical matters into clear, actionable insights for clients

Often

• Leading tax due diligence projects for M&A transactions, identifying risks and opportunities
• Providing tax advice on transaction structuring, including implications of changing legislation
• Meeting with clients to discuss business changes, upcoming tax developments, and planning strategies
• Reviewing UK corporate tax computations and identifying areas for improvement and efficiency
• Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of the practice
• Leading and developing high-performing teams, supporting career growth and service excellence

Occasionally

• Taking a leading role in major, cross-functional advisory projects
• Driving innovation, efficiency, and process improvements within the Corporate Tax team

Never

• Expected to work late for the sake of presenteeism, performance is measured by impact, not hours
• Required to ride a unicycle and sing nursery rhymes in the office
