Associate Director – Town Planning
We’re delighted to be working exclusively with Barker Parry Town Planning, a well-established consultancy with a reputation for delivering expert, honest, and strategic planning advice. With a collaborative team of six and ambitious plans to scale, this is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal moment and help shape the future of the business.
As Associate Director, you’ll bring strategic insight, lead complex planning projects, and play a key role in mentoring emerging talent. This senior-level position offers a clear path to Directorship for those who demonstrate leadership and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead diverse planning projects and advise clients across sectors
- Deliver strategic planning submissions, appeals, and site promotions
- Represent clients at committees, examinations, and public forums
- Drive business development and contribute thought leadership
- Mentor junior colleagues and help shape the consultancy’s future
About You
- RTPI Chartered with 6+ years’ experience
- Strong technical expertise and commercial acumen
- Existing client relationships and a strategic mindset
- Excellent communicator and collaborative team player
