We are searching for an experienced Associate Director - Transport Planning at our Birmingham - Newhall Street facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

RPS is looking for an Associate Director to join the UK Transport Planning Team. The key driver in this role is to identify new opportunities to build on our client base and contribute to RPS’ growth and success. We bring our transport planning expertise to all forms of property and infrastructure development, covering energy generation, residential, commercial, sporting, leisure, health, and educational land uses.

We’re RPS, and our people are our success. We need people who share our passion for solving important problems. Our flat structure fosters greater collaboration and quick communication, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for generating new business from your client base, recruiting and developing your team, and providing clients with expert transport planning advice to ensure the success of land use development projects.

You will have autonomy, with full support from the wider Transport Team, to build the business supporting developers, housebuilders, and infrastructure providers.

Who we’re looking for

With experience in this sector, you’ll be familiar with what we’re seeking. We want a highly skilled and experienced transport planner, with excellent client contacts, first-class communication, leadership, management skills, and the financial acumen to meet P&L targets.

What’s in it for you?

Our people are our success. We value diverse ideas, perspectives, and styles of thinking. We need a mix of experiences and skills to develop innovative ideas. We respect and recognize the contributions of everyone. You’ll be part of a diverse community and a company that prioritizes wellbeing.

We support flexible, hybrid working arrangements and encourage work-life balance.

What happens next?

The Talent Acquisition Team will contact you to inform you of your application outcome. If progressed, you will speak with Lindsay Dirago, the Talent Acquisition Lead for the Planning Division, followed by an interview with the Operational Director of the UK Transport Planning Team.
