The role is based in the City of London. You will originate and structure LevFin transactions, acting as a senior liaison between clients and insurers to ensure suitable cover, pricing, and high-quality insurance advice for our international banking clients. The role involves handling high-value, sophisticated risks with a solid understanding of credit risk; training on the insurance pieces will be provided.People come to Howden for our culture, and we nurture and retain the best talent in the market. Whatever your priorities—work/life balance, career progression, sustainability, volunteering—you’ll find like-minded people driving change at Howden.What you’ll doReview client documentation to ensure information is comprehensive and accurate to support the quoting processCollate and communicate client requirements to market an insurance solution for the riskPrepare or check market presentationsLiaise with clients; advise, investigate and resolve queries and become a trusted advisorBe aware of and satisfy territory, tax, and legislation requirementsRespond to market and third-party queries as appropriateProduce high-quality, compliant market documentation with appropriate authorisationsAssist in reviewing product wordings to fit client and territory requirementsMaintain up-to-date records on internal systemsAct as a subject-matter expert and provide technical input to junior team membersWho we’re looking forKnowledge of the credit market, including competitors, territory knowledge, and LevFin focusRelevant credit insurance experience is welcome but not requiredGood understanding of regulatory environments for risk transfer between banks and insurersSolid understanding of general banking principlesHistory of delivering high levels of client serviceSome experience in training/mentoring junior staff is desirableWillingness to undertake business development to grow our banking client baseWillingness to travel due to an international client baseWhat do we offer in return?A career that you define.
