As an Associate Technical Director, you'll be a key leader within our multidisciplinary delivery teams, working on various water and wastewater capital projects, applying your expertise to clients regionally and across the UK.Our Engineering team creates iconic structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.This role is within our Resilience Global Business Area, which works to protect our environment and water resources amid challenges like climate change, urbanization, and biodiversity loss. We address large-scale events such as floods and wildfires to safeguard natural resources and power future generations.Role accountabilities:Self-starting and working independently or in teams to produce, check, review, or approve complex electrical designs, including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.Leading design and advisory services for water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations, and related assets.Ensuring safety in design leadership and actions.Delivering multi-disciplinary projects in a Design Lead role, utilizing digital design techniques.Developing innovative and optimized technical solutions based on client needs.Coordinating work with multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ICA).Building and maintaining client and partner relationships on technical, commercial, and project progress matters.Ensuring projects meet technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental standards.Mentoring and supervising colleagues' professional development.Managing performance and line responsibilities for staff.Capturing project knowledge and innovations.Promoting MEICA team capabilities and achievements internally and externally.Qualifications & Experience:Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Chartered Engineer status with a professional institution (e.g., IET, InstMC, CIWEM).Proven experience in delivering process plant systems on complex projects, preferably in water/wastewater.Experience with design and construct projects using digital platforms.Strong team leadership and collaborative skills.Experience from feasibility to detailed design stages.Why Arcadis?We empower everyone to be their best, valuing each contribution.
