Rutherford Briant are recruiting for an Audit Director to work for a leading regional firm ranked in the top 50 with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional audit services to a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of auditors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements
• Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate audit plans
• Review and evaluate internal controls, identifying areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
• Provide strategic guidance to clients, assisting them in achieving their financial objectives
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service
• Collaborate with other departments to develop integrated and comprehensive solutions for clients

Qualifications

• Professional certification such as ACA/ACCA
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and best practices
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality audit services
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
