Role Overview: We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Bid Director to take ownership of the full bid management lifecycle within the service sector. This role requires a leader who can operate at both a strategic and operational level—setting direction, overseeing complex bids, and ensuring the delivery of compelling, high-quality submissions that demonstrate strong commercial acumen. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the end-to-end bid management process, from initial qualification through to submission and post-bid review. * Oversee, mentor, and develop the bid team to deliver consistently high standards. * Drive the production of complex, high-quality bids that reflect a deep understanding of client requirements and competitive positioning. * Collaborate closely with stakeholders across commercial, technical, and operational teams to ensure bid strategies are aligned with business objectives. * Ensure all submissions demonstrate strong commercial acumen, competitive pricing strategies, and risk management. * Maintain in-depth knowledge of best practices in bid management and apply continuous improvement to processes and outcomes. Key Requirements: * Proven track record in leading and winning complex bids within the service sector. * Hands-on approach with the ability to roll up sleeves and directly contribute to bid content and strategy. * Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing bid teams. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively. * Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs. * Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance competitiveness with profitability. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
