What are we looking for?
We are interested to hear from anyone who can make a positive contribution to Into Work. We are particularly keen to hear from people with skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Policy landscape / political environment
- Funding environment, Local / National Government or Third Sector
- Commercial and business development
- Diversity and lived experience
- Marketing or PR
- Digital transformation, IT, Cyber Security
We also wish to encourage diversity on our Board. Lived experience and co-production are at the heart of what we do.
What will you be doing?
As a Director, you will play a vital role in shaping the direction and growth of the organisation. The Board works closely with Into Work employees. Directors are there to lead, control and supervise the organisation’s activities. They bring their experience and expertise to help guide our development.
Into Work has a growth strategy with the following objectives:
- Sustain and improve quality and staff development
- Enhance our business development, presence and influence
- Ensure we are full-cost-recovery and sustainable
We recognise that individual Directors bring their own set of skills and interests to the Board. The Into Work Board has several specific roles and Committees where Directors focus their expertise. These are:
- Finance & Audit Committee – (includes Directors with skills in finance practice, investments, risk, IT and procurement)
- People Committee – (includes Directors with skills in HR practice, staff development, evaluation, employment law and recruitment)
- Short-term Committees that can be set up from time to time on themes such as Strategy, Quality, and Business Development
It is an exciting time to join Into Work as we expand our services with a growing staff team, now comprising over 30 team members.
