Role
Care and Repair Scotland is a registered charity providing support, guidance, and services to local care and repair services across Scotland. We aim to ensure that the voices of these teams and the needs of their client groups are heard in national forums and groups, influencing policy and strategy. We also work with other organizations and charities to evidence, evaluate, and reflect on the crucial need for care and repair services.
We are seeking new Board members with diverse skills and qualities to oversee the strategic direction, financial performance, and compliance of Care and Repair Scotland.

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in care and repair, housing, governance, finance, information, and data, who can actively contribute to the organization’s progress. The role is currently unpaid, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Responsibilities:
- Guide the strategic direction of Care and Repair Scotland
- Support and manage the National Director
- Ensure effective governance and oversight
- Attend Board meetings regularly
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven leadership at charity trustee or non-executive director level
- Strategic thinker with strong governance skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for improving outcomes for client groups
- Collaborative approach and ability to build good working relationships with other Directors
- Understanding of the public and/or third sector and political awareness
