Mode Search is supporting a leading home decor brand in their search for a Boutique Director. This is a pivotal leadership role that requires an individual with strong commercial acumen, refined clienteling skills, and the ability to bridge both retail and professional trade audiences.

The position is based full time on site in London within a flagship boutique environment. Reporting directly to the Global Retail Manager, the Boutique Director will oversee the day-to-day operations, team leadership, client experience, and business development across both private clients and trade partners.

  • Deliver a refined, immersive boutique experience that reflects the brand’s aesthetic values
  • Oversee showroom presentation, seasonal layouts, and visual merchandising in alignment with company standards
  • Develop and nurture trade partnerships with interior designers, architects, and corporate clients through tailored presentations and events
  • Build strong client relationships using CRM tools, clienteling outreach, and discreet issue resolution
  • Lead and mentor the boutique team, providing training, guidance, and fostering a culture of high performance
  • Monitor commercial performance, track KPIs, and align with head office on strategy and inventory planning
  • Ensure operational excellence across logistics, stock control, and daily boutique standards
  • Plan and host boutique events to engage both retail and trade audiences while representing the brand externally at relevant cultural and industry gatherings
  • Collaborate with digital, PR, and social media teams to support omnichannel initiatives and enhance visibility
  • Manage VIP interactions with discretion, cultural agility, and professionalism

Requirements

  • Strong background in clienteling and relationship management with both private clients and trade professionals
  • A refined sense of design and product storytelling to create immersive client experiences
  • Exceptional communication skills with cultural agility and dealing with HNW clients
  • Solid operational knowledge including stock management, reporting, and boutique processes
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and grow high-performing teams
  • Flexibility to represent the business at events and engage within the design and luxury communities
