Placed by Leon has partnered with a well-respected fine watch brand that is a leader in Haute Horlogerie.


My client is seeking a Boutique Director to lead a successful and loyal sales team that create memorable experiences for their clients.


Key Accountabilities


  • Drive the growth and desirability of the Brand through external networking and client events
  • Build strong relationships with Personal Shopping teams.
  • Initiate in-boutique events and strategic partnerships to increase sales and traffic
  • Stay informed about local market dynamics and competitor activities
  • Lead CRM and clienteling efforts, collaborating with the boutique team to deliver a personalized client experience
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients and new prospects
  • Expand and manage the VVIP client database
  • Achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets aligned with Brand objectives
  • Develop and implement action plans to meet boutique and Maison sales goals
  • Monitor and analyse boutique performance, sharing insights and best practices
  • Demonstrate strong sales leadership by setting and tracking KPIs for team members
  • Drive adoption of new tools and services; manage boutique operations according to Brand and Group compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Brand standards and procedures
  • Act as a Brand ambassador, upholding the Maison’s values and rituals
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Group and International HQ, facilitating visits and events
  • Maintain the integrity of Brand image across client interactions and within the local luxury community
  • Build an effective boutique team through strategic recruitment and talent development
  • Foster individual motivation through tailored coaching, feedback, and development plans
  • Identify training needs and conduct ongoing coaching and role-playing exercises
  • Inspire a cohesive team spirit, clearly communicating the Maison’s vision and strategy
  • Lead by example with professionalism and commitment to performance excellence
  • Manage performance proactively to exceed expectations and meet defined KPIs


Key Requirements:


  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in retail management, preferably within high watchmaking or high-value luxury product sectors
  • Proven track record in driving boutique performance across sales, client engagement, and operations
  • Deep understanding of clienteling with a strong service and hospitality mindset
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with accuracy
  • Self-starter with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Availability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong customer service orientation with precise knowledge of client needs and expectations
  • Solid knowledge of the local luxury retail market, with specific familiarity with Harrods being an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is advantageous


The role will include a team and personal bonus, which will significantly increase the annual take home salary.
